Prerequisites:

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Exam Format:  
4-hours long exam with 200 multiple-choice questions. 

The existing PMP® exam content comprises of 5 domains. The new [2021] PMP® exam content will cover the following three domains:
  • People: 42% of items on the test.  
  • Process: 50%.  
  • Business Environment: 8%. 

Predictive, agile, and hybrid approaches will be included, and the number of tasks will reduce from 42 to 35. The PMBOK, released in 2017, will not change; however, how PMI assesses the students will change. 

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Exam Cost:  
$405 for PMI members and $555 for non-members. 

Note: 60 professional development units or PDUs must be earned every three years to maintain the PMP certification.
